Lisa
I've always loved physical activity which lead me to the fitness industry.
I now have more than a decade of experience, specialising in spin, Metafit and circuit classes with a passion for strength training too. My love for spinning started in 2013 when I completed the Lemond spin course and have been teaching ever since. I love playlist themes and choreograph my own classes too, so it feels like a party on a bike – while getting your “sweat on”! I also love HIIT and resistance training. I’m a big believer in balance … workout and eat right but also live life.
Lisa teaches Tuesday HIIT 30 Cycle 5.30pm and 6.15pm Hope to see you there!!

I am passionate about improving the mental and physical health of individuals in a fun and challenging way through group fitness.
In my classes you will get a great workout, increase your fitness, strength, agility and co-ordination and have so much fun that you almost forget you are exercising!! I strive to make my classes a safe place where you can let go, lose yourself in the music and just be in the moment, doing something that you love which will benefit not only your physical health but your mind, body and soul. So let's work hard together, encourage and support each other and have a blast!

Renee discovered the many benefits of mind body classes through her own journey to overcome back pain.
Les Mills BODYBALANCE is a program that I am deeply passionate about. I began participating in mind body classes many years ago to assist with strengthening my back and core and to overcome pain. I was instantly in love! The physical and mental benefits of BODYBALANCE are numerous. I love that anyone can gain from regular BODYBALANCE classes, irrespective of their age, fitness level or flexibility. I get so much joy from seeing the smiles on participants faces after a class and from watching people improve and achieve their exercise goals.

Charmaine
From class participant to class instructor, Charmaine knows how to make your experience fun.
I started out as a member at HBF Arena in 2006 - 14 years ago! - participating in Body Jam classes. I became an instructor in 2011 and have been instructing SH'BAM at HBF Arena since 2012. I have completed AIM 1 in SH'BAM and am also trained and achieved AIM 2 in Body Jam. I trained in BODYBALANCE in 2013 and achieved ELITE status in BODYBALANCE in 2017. I have also attended the Advanced BODYBALANCE training in 2019. I enjoy seeing the smiles on everyone's faces in my classes and hope to see many more faces in future.

Clare
My ideal me time is time spent doing BODYBALANCE it’s my playground.
Clare is an advanced BODYBALANCE instructor and has been teaching this program for the last 3 years. She relishes the challenge being an advanced instructor brings to her everyday life. One of the best aspects of my job is I love meeting all the new people in my classes, being a part of their fitness journey, especially those new to BODYBALANCE. This aspect makes my job satisfying and fun.

Angie
Passionate about exercise physiology, Angie brings over thirty years of experience to her classes.
I have been a fitness instructor in Perth for over thirty years. I trained as a professional dancer in the UK and ran my own ballet school for many years. I am passionate about the physiology of exercise so my expertise is now in the teaching of Pilates and BODYBALANCE. Hopefully these classes will create a safer and more functional environment for our members and all the guests who attend my mind and body focused sessions.

As an instructor I strive to make each class the best part of each participants day!
With over 10 years experience in the fitness industry I truly do LOVE what I do. It is a privilege to encourage, train, motivate and inspire our members to be the best they can be. I ensure that I empower each participant with the knowledge and skills they need to train to the maximum in a safe and encouraging environment. Everybody leaves the class with a smile and a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. Our members are inspiring and motivate me to me to be the best I can be.

Dirk
Dirk’s mission as a group fitness instructor is to help people get results, keep fit & lead a healthier lifestyle.
Dirk started his journey as a freestyle group fitness instructor at HBF Arena in August 2008. Ever since he has made it his personal mission to make sure all his class participates enjoy training in his classes and are kept highly motivated throughout. “I always create a positive environment for my class participates and encourage them to really push out of their comfort zones to achieve the best possible version of themselves.

Trish
Trish brings a wealth of yoga teaching experience to her class, ensuring all participants work to a level that suits them.
Patricia (Trish) is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry. Her yoga classes are a combination of strong flowing movements connected with breath. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Trish’s classes cater for all levels, with a focus on alignment and technique, enabling every participant to self regulate their practise and work at a level that suits them.

Sarah
Exercise is my 'me time' and my sanity!
Sarah, a member of HBF Arena Gym for over nine years, has been teaching group fitness classes for three. After twelve years of not having the confidence to sign up for her BODYPUMP Instructor training she finally talked herself into it after the birth of her daughter. "I didn't want my kids to grow up thinking they couldn't do something or to not have the courage to even try! Exercise is my 'me time' and my sanity! I now teach BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, Metafit & Freestyle classes and love helping members get the best of their workout and their me time!"

Carol
30 years later and still in love with Group Fitness
Like many instructors I started as a participant in classes after my kids were born and I just knew that I wanted to be an instructor. Over the years class styles may have changed, and fitness fashion definitely has changed but what hasn’t changed is how much I love instructing and knowing that what we do in classes can make such a difference to someones day is just priceless.

Carolyn
Maintaining a lifelong passion for fitness and teaching.
Carolyn has been in the fitness industry for almost 30 years and still loves it every day that she gets to teach. Carolyn teaches BODYBALANCE, freestyle and boxing classes and if you’re up for a challenge Carolyn will see you on Saturday mornings for her Step Moves class.

Isabel
Lose the stress, join the laughter, and workout with with Isabel, better known as Issy, as she brings fun to the water.
Issy has over 12 years of experience in Personal Training and Group Fitness Training specialising in Aqua classes, as well as being a certified Trainer for Royal Life in First Aid, Water Rescues and Exercise. It’s not hard to find Issy at the pool during an aqua class, just listen for the laughter as she gives the participants a new perspective at having fun whilst working out. Issy’s classes are Deep water based with co-ordinated rhythmic movements, which makes keeping up with the music a full on cardio experience.

Paul
Paul is passionate about helping members achieve their fitness goals.
Paul has been a member for about 15 years and trains regularly at HBF Arena Gym. He became an ‘Inspirational Member’ then qualified as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and works on a part-time basis. His full-time job is successfully selling Real Estate in the northern suburbs. Known as ‘Spartacus’, ‘Pinky’, or ‘PB’ he remains extremely passionate about helping members achieve their fitness goals, and his standard disclaimer is “don’t take me too seriously”.
Paul teaches Outdoor X, Max NRG, Cycling Group Fitness and Yin Yoga at HBF Arena.
Lesley
Small steps will lead to great strides. You need to first believe to achieve.
Let me take you on a journey. My passion is to help motivate people to do their best, get outside their comfort zone to a place they didn’t know they could go. I love to see people embrace and enjoy their fitness journey, in a fun, safe and friendly environment.
Lesley has championed our program, Get Active, for Seniors or anyone looking for a lighter workout.
Lesley teaches Get Active Better Balance, Get Active Plus, HIIT Cycle, Pure Abs and Tai Chi.
Denise
Denise leads a range of cardio, cycle and strength classes at HBF Arena and is sure to bring out the best in you.
Denise’s passion for fitness and people is evident in every class she instructs and admits that although the body may be slowing down she will keep your body and heart pumping.

Rafa
Rafa loves seeing exercise positively changing people’s mind and body.
Rafa has worked in the fitness industry for 15 years, including at HBF Stadium and HBF Arena since 2016, fitting in academic studies and other professional activities as well. Rafa is always looking forward to contributing to our member's health, fitness, strength and conditioning through group and personal training.
Rafa teaches MaxNRG, Metafit, metaPWR, Pure Abs, Aqua, Suspension, Tabata, Balanced Core and Strength Battles.
Jane
Life always seems a little brighter after a BODYBALANCE class.
I was a participant in BODY BALANCE classes for at least 15 years before taking the plunge and becoming an instructor three years ago. I love the combination of strength, control and mindfulness BODYBALANCE demands. The music is inspiring and beautiful and then there's that wonderful feeling when you walk out of class - a little taller, more agile and calmer - you don't feel exhausted but you definitely know you've worked out and somehow, life always seems a little brighter.

Rosemary
Rosemary brings a wealth of fitness and wellness knowledge and experience to the team.
Rosemary has over 20 years’ experience in Personal Training and group fitness training specialising in Aqua classes, Pilates, and Eastern philosophies such as Tai Chi, Meditation and Breath work. Rosemary now runs her own business as a qualified Health Wellness and NLP Mindset Coach, PD Trainer, lecturer and author. “Over the years my approach to health & fitness has evolved with my main focus being on fun, variety and empowerment for my clients, backed with strong, science based education to enhance their wellbeing”.
You will find Rosemary poolside every Monday putting Aqua participants through their paces.

Steph
Making exercise enjoyable and fun is Steph's goal for every class participant.
Steph began her fitness career back in 2007 and has been passionate about teaching Group fitness ever since. Steph is all about the fun behind exercise and movement, and loves helping people discover that exercise doesn't have to be perceived as a chore and a battle, but instead an enjoyable and fun experience. She believes you can't take yourself too seriously when exercising and creates a warm, welcoming and safe space for all her participants.
Steph teaches BODYSTEP, Fitclub Teen classes, Pure Abs and BODYBALANCE.
Sarita
The community vibe is my tribe. I love seeing you work hard and laugh a bit too.
This year marks Sarita's 21st year in fitness! Originally from New Zealand, she taught everything from boxing to senior movement classes at Les Mills and Leisure Centres in Auckland, loving the community vibe, before moving to Perth 2011. Her time in WA has included working as a Health and Wellness Coordinator in the Pilbara. After returning to Perth to have her first baby and finding HBF Arena, she says, "this is the only place I teach Group Fitness, as the participants are awesome and laugh at my mum jokes. I laugh at them too. Of course!"
