Searching for a fun way to keep fit and healthy? Group Fitness Classes could be just what you’re looking for and here’s why.
1. Plenty of options
Keeping exercise fresh with a variety of activity is the best way to avoid boredom and exercise burn-out. You can find an endless variety of group fitness classes to suit your interests and fitness level. From circuit style high intensity interval workouts, dance-based, indoor cycle, water-based aqua, yoga, Pilates and the popular Les Mills classes you can find something to get your heart-rate up, improve your flexibility or build strength. Always feel like you have no time to exercise? Express 30 Minute class options can solve this problem. You’ll be glad you made the effort.
2. Have fun with friends
Who doesn’t love sharing experiences with a friend? Everything seems that much more enjoyable and that makes you more likely to stick to your exercise program. Locking in a time to meet a friend also makes you more accountable and less likely to find an excuse not to get that workout done. Training buddies often bring out a friendly competitive instinct that pushes everyone to get a little bit more out of their workout. It’s also easier and less intimidating to venture out and try something new when you have the support of a friend. So tap a friend on the shoulder and share some fitness fun together in a group fitness class.
3. Stay motivated
Surround yourself with other like-minded people striving to improve their fitness and then add upbeat music and an energetic and encouraging instructor to guide and push you to reach new fitness levels and you’re on to a proven strategy to keep yourself motivated and coming back for more. This is great news because a key to achieving your fitness goals is consistency, bringing you another step closer to achieving and maintaining an ongoing routine of fitness activities for life.
4. Follow a structure
Unsure of how to put together your own workout to achieve what you want and/or prefer someone to lead you through a routine. Group Fitness classes are structured to include a warm-up, balanced workout and cool-down. You will be offered options to increase or decrease the difficulty of individual exercises within a workout by your Group Fitness instructor. This ensures participants safety and continually challenges and pushes participants to achieve new levels. Instructors also demonstrate and are watching out for correct form which lowers the potential for injury and ensures everyone is constantly challenged to get the most out of their workout.
5. Join a community
Group fitness classes provide a great supportive environment. The unique culture that instructors and participants create will keep you motivated and coming back week after week. No matter what your age, background or fitness level, group fitness classes offer a welcoming and safe environment to exercise. You will not feel judged or intimidated and can focus on the shared fitness experience of the group class.
HBF Arena Gym in Joondalup offers over 90 group fitness classes including the highly popular Les Mills programs, Yoga and Pilates classes to unite mind and body, cardio classes (both indoor and outdoor), Aqua classes, strength classes and Metafit™, a popular high intensity interval workout. We understand that it can be difficult to work regular exercise into a busy daily schedule and that is why our classes run seven days a week, from the early morning until evening, with express options available, ensuring that there will always be a way to fit a workout into your schedule.
