Floreat
Children's Community Library
Posted: 9 June 2019
Opening Tuesday 18 June
We have adventure, fairytale, science and more, you’re sure to find the perfect book! We have lots of books we’d love to share. Take a book and leave another, if you have one to spare.
Spending 15 minutes reading to children each night can increase a child’s academic outcome and their cognitive skills as well as further strengthen the bond between child and guardian. In the first five years of life, a child’s brain is developing rapidly, at a faster rate than at any other stage of life. Reading to your child and then teaching them to read promotes healthy brain development that lasts a life-time.
Here at HBF Arena crèche we value story time and wish to share our love of learning with the greater community. Families, staff and community members can borrow a book, which doesn’t need to be checked in or out, and return or replace it when finished. The library has books available that are suitable for all children up to and including Primary School age. We also have popular song lyrics available that we sing with the children in the crèche and stamps/stickers to encourage the little ones.
Location | You’ll find our little library sitting out the front of the crèche. |
Library hours | Monday - Friday 8:15am – 1:00pm Saturday 8:15am – 12:00pm |
Book donations welcome!
If you have any books suitable for children aged up to the age of 12 years old in good condition that you would like to donate to either HBF Arena the staff and children would greatly appreciate it. A donation box can be found at the crèche.
We appreciate your support and hope to see you there!
