Eating out - some healthy tips

Eating out may be an occasional indulgence or for some, a regular thing. Having a few tips up your sleeve to enjoy the experience but not overindulge is important to maintaining a healthy weight. Our fitness instructors have put together their top tips on dining out.
Top tips:
- Choose grilled or baked options
- Ask for a smaller serve
- Go for lean meat, chicken, fresh fish or other seafood, or a vegetable dish
- Ask for sauces or dressings in a separate dish so you can control how much you add
- Choose vegetables or salad over chips
- If you really want dessert, share it with a friend
So no need to skip that invitation to dine out, the experience can be both enjoyable and healthy.
