1. Pick your venue
The most important starting point for planning your perfect party is choosing a venue. Whether you’re wanting to host a big birthday bash, an afternoon garden party or perhaps an intimate dinner, HBF Arena is the venue for you. HBF Arena offers a variety of settings suitable for any size or budget. Make sure you remember your guest list when picking a location; for a closer group choose a smaller venue suitable for a dinner party or cocktail night, our Winners Club or Medallists suite are perfect for these sorts of functions. If you have a larger invite list have a look at our Sports Bar or Leisure Gardens for your soiree. Click here to find out more about HBF Arena’s function rooms located in Joondalup.
2. Reduce your stress
Throwing a party can be stressful for a host – the organising, setting up and ensuring everything goes well on the night. So why not pass the stress onto the experts? When hosting a party at HBF Arena the functions team will take care of the entire venue set up and provide the necessary furniture and fittings. Bar staff and security staff will also be provided to make sure things don’t get out of hand, so you can just focus on enjoying your night. The standard party package starts at a low $1,000 which can be tailored to your personal requirements, ensuring your night is perfect. To find out more about the party package click here.
3. Choose a theme
Who doesn’t love a themed party? Whether it’s an all-out fancy dress or a simple colour palette for your decorations, a theme is the perfect way to set the tone of your event. Keep in mind your guest list when picking a theme – are they likely to commit to extravagant costumes or is it better to keep the theme modest? HBF Arena is flexible with theming and can tailor venue decorations to fit in with your party needs.
4. Food, drinks… and more food!
Let’s be honest, a party isn’t a party without food and drink. The quickest way to put a dampener on the night is to leave your guests hungry and thirsty. When choosing drinks it’s crucial to provide a range for your guests. With your choice of beer, wine, ciders, spirits and soft drinks (for the non-drinkers out there), HBF Arena has the selection for you. You can have the option of purchasing alcohol by cash bar or by the hour with special beverage packages.
In terms of food choice, your catering selection is highly dependent on the type of party you are hosting. For intimate dinner parties you may choose to serve a two or three course meal, whereas for a party with a large invite list a selection of platters and canapes may be more appropriate. HBF Arena offers an assortment of catering options. From antipasto platters, pulled pork sliders and wild mushroom arancini to confit duck leg and a sous vide lamb rump, all produce is fresh and delicious with menu items carefully selected by HBF Arena’s Executive Chef. Your guest’s needs should influence your catering selection, and HBF Arena offer flexibility in terms of food requirements for all the vegetarian/vegan/gluten free folk out there!
5. Music and entertainment
An amazing playlist is a crucial aspect to keep your party fun and encourage your guests to let their hair down. Appealing to the majority of your crowd should be the aim of the music for the night. Either create a playlist that suits the tone – the hard-core heavy metal may not be so popular at Nan and Pops anniversary dinner – or look into having a DJ play who can read the crowd. Depending on your event, other types of media entertainment could be a bonus to amuse your guests. Speeches and slideshows are a hit at 21st birthdays and engagement parties, or an MC might be suitable for a more formal event. Whatever your audio visual needs, HBF Arena have the modern facilities required. With data projectors, PA systems and a dance floor available to hire you can rest assured your guests will be entertained right to the end of the night.
6. Have fun… and we will take care of the rest
The most important part of your party being a success is you being able to relax, let loose and enjoy your night. No need to worry about set up, cooking or clean up. When choosing HBF Arena, your dedicated functions coordinator will work with you so your party is planned to perfection and you don’t have to worry about the final touches or anything on the night.
