Mix up your workout routine for just $4

Posted: 16 August 2017

It may be cold outside but inside at HBF Arena the swimming pools are just as warm as they are in summer. In fact, the pool is a great place to escape on a rainy day with our 50 metre lap pool set at 26.5°C and the family pool at a warm 29.5°C all year round.

Whilst it’s easy to lose motivation during the colder months, it also provides a great opportunity to mix up your fitness routine. You could even learn to swim with our Perth swimming lessons!  The pool may not be the first place you think of going to be active and stay fit, but perhaps it should be.

Swimming is a low-impact activity and a great form of exercise no matter the season and offers great benefits such as:

  • keeps your heart rate up whilst taking some of the impact stress off your body
  • helps maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs
  • improves coordination, balance, posture and flexibility
  • builds endurance, cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength for your whole body as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming

Additionally, mixing up your workout routine will help prevent you from burning out so things don’t become repetitive and boring. Introducing swimming to your workouts will keep your exercises from becoming ineffective so you don’t plateau.

So what are you waiting for? Escape the colder weather and try it for yourself today!

Plus, swim with us between 9am – 3pm, weekdays for just $4. Hurry, this offer is only for a limited time until 22 September.
