With international and interstate holidays out of the picture and WA accommodation booking out fast - it's good to have activities planned to keep the kids busy at home during the spring holidays.

Have no fear, we are here to help with our top boredom-busting and fun activity ideas for you to do during the spring school holidays.

Sporting Activities

With the restrictions in WA easing, holiday sporting activities are once again an option for kids these school holidays. There are plenty of options around Perth for a fun and active day out with the kids during the holidays. Come and visit us at HBF Arena for a day filled with swimming fun. A continuous swim program, means swim lessons will continue through the school holidays so the kids can continue their skill progression.

Day trips

With most of the holidays off the cards for atleast the Spring holidays, now is the perfect time to check out all that Perth and it's surrounds have to offer. Hop on the ferry and sail over to Rottnest for the day to cycle around the island, head to Scarborough to play on the playground or venture to Hilary's for an action packed day. Getting out of the house for the day also stops the kids from going stir crazy.

Mix it up

Make sure to change up the pace these school holidays. As well as planning days jam-packed with activities, it is just as important to schedule some down time for yourself and the kids. Activity-filled days will make the kids grateful for the time set aside for relaxing and the opportunity to use their imagination. It will also give you the chance to catch up on life admin, things around the house or some much needed chill time.

Catch-up with friends

Organizing a play-date for your kids and their friends is great for all parties involved. The beauty of a play-date is that it gives you the opportunity to catch-up with the other mums while the kids run around or do a play date switch, that leaves you kid-free for the afternoon.

Make your own fun

It’s hard to predict what the weather is going to be like, especially during Spring time. With this in mind, it’s always a good idea to have some back-up activities planned incase your plans get rained away. This could be as simple as making sure you have a few fun board games to play, a line up of movies for a movie day or arts and crafts for some creative time. Even making a blanket fort or putting on your chef hat and heading to the kitchen - anything goes!

HBF Arena is the place to be for kids activities in Joondalup when the weather starts to heat up. Our continuous swim program is great for the little ones as it keeps them busy during the spring holidays with lessons held year-round.
